Eligibility to Apply for Police Verification Certificate:

Police Verification will be conducted only on

1. Persons residing in Tamil Nadu

   1. Persons who have consented for verification

Document Required to Apply for Police Verification Certificate:

For Self Verification:

1. Passport size Photo

   1. Address Proof (any govt. issued document showing address

For Tenant & Domestic Help Verification:

1. Passport Size Photo

   1. Address Proof (any govt. issued document showing address)

   2. Consent Letter from the person to be verified.

For Job Verification:

1. Passport size Photo

   1. Address Proof (any govt. issued document showing address)

   2. Consent letter from the person to be verified

   3. Forwarding letter of the Organization.

Step by Step Procedure :

Step: 1 -> Visit TN Police Website.

Step:2 -> Click on Citizen Service (Paid) -> Police Verification -> New Request 

Step:3 -> Choose Service and Enter Mobile Number. You will get an OTP number in your Mobile Number. Enter that and click Proceed

Step: 4 -> Fill all the Mandatory Details, Upload Passport Size Photo and Address Proof (Aadhaar card, Driving License etc.., ). Click Save Button and Proceed to payment.

Step: 5 -> Pay the Fees (Rs. 500) and Download the Receipt. Wait for 2 – 15 Days until you get verified by Police.

Step:2 -> Click on Citizen Service (Paid) -> Police Verification -> View Status

Step:3 -> Enter Mobile Number. You will get an OTP number in your Mobile Number. Enter that and click Proceed and Download your Certificate
