How to Apply LLR Online – Learner Licence?

New Learner License Registration (LLR) can be applied through Online Mode. The Government of India has introduced an Online Website called Sarathi to apply LLR Online and all vehicle related services like Learner License application, Driving license application, driving license renewal, slot booking etc. This website make the registration process very easy without any hassle

Eligibility to apply LLR Online:

• Applicant must be above 16 years of age to apply for a motorcycle without gears.

• Applicant must be above 18 years to apply for a licence for a light motor vehicle or a geared motorcycle.

• Applicant must be above 20 years of age to apply for a licence for a transport vehicle.

Document Required to apply LLR Online:

• Passport sized photographs

• Age proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter Id, Pan Card etc.,)

• Address proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter id etc.,)

• Medical certificate (Form 1A)

• Application form (Form 2)

• Physical Fitness Declaration (Form 1)

Step by Step Procedure :

Step 1: Visit the Official Parivahan Website

Step 2: Click on Online Services -> Driving License Related Services

Step 3: Select your District

Step 4: Click on Apply Online -> New Learners License on the Left side bar

Step 5: Read the Instructions and click on Continue

Step 6: If you belong to any special category like physically handicapped, ex-serviceman, refugees etc., select them, else click on Submit Button

Step 7: Enter your Pincode and select your area RTO Office. Then enter your Personal details.

Step 8: Enter your Present and Permanent Address Details. Select your vehicle class (i.e., 2 wheeler with gear, 2 wheeler without gear etc., ) and click submit .

Note: You have to drag and drop the type of vehicle in the adjacent box. Don’t try to click them

Step 9: An application number will be generated and a pdf file will be downloaded. Take the Printout of the Pdf file and Get the doctor certificate signed from a doctor. Sign the declaration form also. Because, we will upload them in next process.

Step 10 : Click on the Upload Documents -> Upload Documents/Scanned Images

Step 11: Enter you application number and Date of Birth and click Submit and upload all the Documents. The application number is printed on the downloaded application form and you will receive a text message with application number once you have registered.

Step 12: Select Appointments (Slot Booking) -> Learners Licence Test on the left side bar

Step 13: Enter your Application number and Date of birth and click on submit button. Select your date and time of appointment slot for LLR test.

Step 14: Click on Payments on the Left side bar to pay LLR Fees

Step 15: Enter your application number and date of birth and click calculate fee button to know your fees and pay the amount. Download the Receipt for your reference.

Visit 1 hour before the Slot timing on the Given date and Pass the Driving Test.
